  • The Pursuit of the Perfect Body

It's always interesting to hear a person's response when I tell him I'm a personal trainer.  Last week when I told a lady I am a personal trainer, she said, "I'm on day two of Jenny Craig."  I asked her how she liked it so far.  She replied that the food wasn't very good.  So the question becomes, why would you suffer through that just to lose weight?

  • Adapting to Exercise

This morning, I lead one of my clients through a brand new workout. She has been making great progress and it was time to step it up. She explained that she didn’t feel as successful during this workout as she did in previous workouts.

  • Can Push Ups Make Your Bust Bigger?

Listen up, ladies! This blog is for you. There is a way you can increase your bust naturally without spending a dime. How? You ask. With exercise. And you do not need to run out and buy Easy Curves. One exercise in particular strengthens your chest, arms, shoulders, and core: push ups.

  • Not All Trainers Are Like Jillian

This past weekend, while at a cookout, I had the opportunity to tell people what I do.  Upon telling one lady that I am a personal trainer, she exclaimed, "Do you yell at your clients just like Jillian Michaels?"  My answer, "Absolutely not!"  Seriously, this is the stereotype that many trainers are now facing.

  • Recipe: Deconstructed Loaded Baked Potato

I love this recipe because it's simple and barely processed.  I made it last night for dinner and thought it was high time to share the yumminess.  Now don't get too excited. "Loaded" does not mean butter, sour cream, and bacon bits in this recipe.  It's loaded with fresh vegetables!
